Tis the Season

It has been a while since I have posted anything on here. Mostly because I don't get much internet so I do what I can. There is SO MUCH to catch you up on where to start!!

Oh right, so there was this Comic Con that Cole and I volunteered at. There was some pretty cool stuff to see. There was some LOTR, Star Wars, Warhammer, even the Predator (which even though I knew it was just a costume I was totally freaked!).

The Stargate. One of my favorite shows I was excited!

Cole was so excited about getting decapitated by the Predator.

I on the other hand was totally freaked out that he was even touching me.

They had so many different Star Wars characters there it was unbelievable.

Me and Vader We are pretty tight.

This Storm Trooper has a baby on his back. I thought this was so adorable!

Apparently there is a Darth Vader and a Santa Vader.

Work it Vader.

That was so much work. Even though we didn't even do much but keep the movies going for 8 hours. We took care of all the people in the Star Wars costumes trying to get away from the 700 people that showed up.

This year Cole and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. It was pretty chill. We went to IKEA in Germany!! It was so weird, but we did it and had a blast! We were able to fit soooo much into our little car. :)

Huh. This turned out way cuter than I thought it did on my phone.

This picture was taken back when we were just dating!
These are the IKEA finds. The entertainment center and the light. We also obtained an entertainment center that is half the size for our bedroom.

I saw this in the store and absolutely loved it! I wasn't with Cole when I saw it nor did I mention it to him, and yet he figured it out. Love him!

This has to be the best card ever!

There is more to the card. But that is just for me ;)

Since we live in Germany, of course it is going to be WAY different than Arizona, but here are pictures of our first snow!

Today I made gingerbread. NOT the recipe I wanted because the store was out of molasses! Ugh! So Cole got me the store mix...and it is not good not good at all. I am sure to others it's just fine, but when you have my grandmother's recipe you will crave it all the time!!! I made the frosting which helped it abundantly.

So not much happening, but of course Cole and I are going to see Christmas Markets and we will be taking lots of pictures to post, and if anyone could explain to me the best way to post a video on here I would love to sing a carol to the family!

Love you all

Happy Holidays

Cars, Banquets, and Autobahn OH MY!

So much stuff has been happening! I feel like I have been going crazy trying to get everything done so fast! Well, the good new is we finally received our car. And having a Chevy Cav in Germany your car instantly looks like a piece of garbage. Even compared to the '85 BMW that still look new and run amazingly and they are older than I am! It was such a pain once the car was here, it hadn't been driven in 2 months so the battery was dead, and we had to get a new one. Also, it is a pain when you have to have a front license plate when your car has no place to put one! Zip ties come in handy. Oh and get this after all that Cole comes home from work only to tell me that the car was over heating! I almost lost it. And it took me some time to figure it out but I found to that there was NO COOLANT! I was so frustrated! Finally, our car is in a functional condition. We even drove it on the AUTOBAHN. That's right I have my German license so I can drive on the Autobahn. I went 90mph I didn't want to kill the car or blow the tires. And if you get in an accident going over 130 kph (82 mph) it's your fault, regardless of whether it is or not. OH and insurance won't cover the damages. But everyone here seems to be really good at driving.

Last Monday, I think, I was told that we were going to a BALL! (Which was really more of a Banquet.) Cool right. I asked Cole what the dress was he said Semi Formal. I thought that was weird, but that seemed was easy so sweet! When I went in the next day to pick up Cole from work one of his bosses asked if I had my dress ready. I said I guess, and she said you know its like super formal right. I glared at Cole!! How was I supposed to find a dress in like 4 days! Well luckily they have this online garage sell thing, and I got a beautiful dress for $60! Check it out!
Ya that's right. You know I'd be wearing Converse with my nice dress.

Yes! Found one had to drive to Ramstein twice to get it but yeah I look good!

I don't know if you can tell in any of this pictures but I have side bangs now got my hair did. I will have to put up more pics of that.
Man oh man has it been crazy! I just wish I had my stuff! And it's already getting colder. Let me put it this way. I go outside and it feels like Arizona in the winter time. So nice but you will want a jacket. Oh and did I mention it rains like at least once a week! Love it. And the colors are starting to change and it is beautiful!

Love to all

To Catch You Up

It has been awhile since I have posted anything, but here is what has been happening with us to catch you up.

Cole loves Wednesdays because that is PT (Physical Training) day. For the past few weeks they have been playing basketball and Cole has been having a blast! But this last week Cole decided never again, and here is why....
Cole was hit in the face and his glasses cut right below his eyebrow, and gave him a black eye. Not only that he jammed his finger and hurt his heel again. It was a rough day.

This was Cole's birthday cake I made it myself. Chocolate chocolate chocolate!!!

I served the cake with Raspberries and Cole loved it!

This is our house!

Cole and I decided to take a walk. This is what is in the front of our house, beautiful greenery.

That is pretty much all we have been up too. Still waiting for our stuff to come.

 Love you all!

Back in Business

We FINALLY got our internet set up. It has been all but boring in our new apartment. I have been watching a lot of movies. Sadly we don't get Netflix here because that would be awesome. But  what we Cole did get for his birthday was a new Xbox and a TV so I get to play video games while he is at work. What I do love to do while he is at work is baking! I have been baking cookies and we have been eating them (we being mostly Cole) non stop. It has been hard to do so because we have no measuring cups. I have to eyeball everything, but luckily I am good at it. Also, I know what I want for Christmas, Grandma Sally if you are reading this and are able to do so I would like you to make me an apron  like that snowman one that you have at my parents house. Whenever I have that on I feel like I have your "zen" with me and I bake so much better.

Today is Cole's birthday! He is 27! That sounds so crazy, because that means he is almost 30. I hope that he likes that cake I made him because he is a better decorator of cakes than I am on year he made me a ladybug cake, it was beautiful. I am going to keep it simple. CRAP I just realized that we doing have any candles! I hope he will be okay... I mean it's great and all that I now can drive in Germany I just don't have a car to go to the store and get candles. Well I am sure there will be more to tell and pictures to come of Cole.

Adventure: Trier

Let's start on Thursday, everything was nice it was a very brisk morning and I decided I would go for a run. It felt good to run, mostly because it had been so long since I had done any type of exercise. Everything was going well, then all the sudden POP! I rolled my ankle off the curb while crossing the street and there was a loud sound, it sounded like a knuckle pop so I figure, I had just sprained my ankle, and probably hyper extended the muscle since it stung all the way up the side of my leg. Ok, here is the best part, I was on the complete opposite side of the base! So I had to walk a good mile to 2 miles back to the hotel. So I started walking trying not to look like a cripple walking with a huge limp but as I started going something was hitting my foot. So I looked down as I walked and saw the the bottom part of my shoe was just barely hanging on. I was like crap, Friday Cole and I were going to Trier and I now had not only a sprained ankle but also now walking shoes!

I spent the rest of the day observing RICE for those of you that know, pretty much doing nothing but elevating my ankle and keeping ice on it and wrapping it. Cole came back from work happy for the next day then he looked down and was like NO! So I told him the story, and then he left. He then returned with NEW SHOES! They are super cute and perfect. I was totally ready for the trip on Friday!

Friday morning came YAY!! We were both ready for this. We were going with a group which was nice. I had no idea what was in store. First was a bus ride, then a train ride, then a lot of walking. Now, is my attempt to bring you pictures!

street performers

Trier

Fountain that is older than the United States.

Cathedral

Inside the Cathedral

These are tombs.

Organ

This is dated 1354 AD.

It's hard to see but this is a picture of a box that contains a box which contains another box which contains what this claim to be the Garments of Christ. Not sure if they are really in there.

Relics

Not sure if this is legit or not but this is one of the nail they used when they crucified Christ.

Really old Bibles

Parliament

Garden

Pink Building

Roman bath house

There are only 7 of these in the world these were built to show that there were foot soldiers at the ready so behave.

Really cool tunnels

This has 26 letters and is one word. Yes it mean reconstruction.

This is a size of a small pizza it was bigger than the plate it was on. It was only 5 euros at this Italian place super good and yes I ordered in Italian!!! Okay Spanish but hey he understood me!

Delicious pasta in Alfredo sauce with bacon. Go Cole.

On the bus ready to start the day.

This is the train station in Speicher. Cute.

There just so happened to be ruins of a castle on our way to Trier.

I ordered a pastry in German! That's right awesomeness engaged! This was a croissant filled with chocolate. Mmm

This is the best orange juice in the world!! It is a really dark orange color but the oranges are what we would call organic (which is normal in Germany) and they squeezed every last drop out of the orange.

Cool buildings

Awesome fountains

Black Gate from the Roman Empire

Cute Hotel

There were the most beautiful flowers in so many different colors.

Standing underneath the Black Gate entrance where their enemies would charge in and a giant iron gate would fall behind them and then hot tar would be dropped on them and they would die...

Each of the stones were held together by iron rods, which we found interesting.

Spiral staircase

These were carved into the walls.

They were different Saints.

View from the top

Cole was intrigued.

Having fun

hi

Amazing archway.

This is think was built back in 180 AD.

On the bottom right of the picture is a door, the Floating Door. It is about 15 feet in the air. Way back when 3 monks lived there to stay alive when someone would try to attack they would drop hot water or tar on to them. There was only one way in, from a drop ladder so there was always one person there at a time.

Had to get another liter of the juice it was so good felt like I was eating an orange only in liquid form.
