This was right after our super long overnight bus ride. I ordered us chocolate croissants because that is all I knew how to pronounce in Italian. |
Ya that is the Mediterranean Sea. |
Finally off the bus and on our way to the water taxi. |
Look at them boats. |
It's so surreal that we are in Venice. It's like a movie! |
Let's imagine I am standing where James Bond stood. |
There were groups like this everywhere. Many with scarier costumes and masks. |
Hey look a gondola! |
That clock or whatever it was had the "signs" like Taurus and what not just like the constellations I don't know how that helps them tell time. |
I got my mask on. |
Cutie. |
Hey it's Gracie! |
Pretty sure that the entrance for a hotel. |
The one thing I do know is this is Marco Polo's house. |
Now the party can start we both got our masks on now. |
Italian dinner. The steak was so good! |
So, they thought I was Canadian. What's that about? (It's the skin tone I know it.) |
Venice at night. |
Alvarado's in the background. |
All of our masks. |
The Gang |
The next day I started feeling sick. With a cough to start and bad headaches. So went to the doctors on Tuesday and took the medicine and watched it get so much worse. Fevers, and chills the whole shebang. Well, at least I was nauseous. It took weeks to recover. Finally one day the sun started to come out and I just absorbed it and started feeling better. Then I started going back to the gym everyday where I got a job! Score keeping for the volleyball games. At least I get out of the house. Job starts tonight and I leave by the time Cole gets home from work so he called me up before I went to the gym and we had lunch. Where we discovered the 2nd Shlarb! Shlarb is someone's last name. And we thought it was awesome. And we couldn't believe that one Shlarb existed much less 2.
That seems to catch you up a bit.
Love ya
